Arsenal have announced the signing of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna.
The 27-year-old forward, who scored 19 goals in all competitions last season, has finally signed on the dotted line after a week of intense speculation.
Perez joins Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano, Rob Holding and Kelechi Nwakali in moving to the Gunners this summer and it’s expected Shkodran Mustafi will complete a transfer to the Emirates in the coming days.
It’s understood the north London outfit have agreed to sign Perez for a fee of around £17million.
‘He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs,’ Arsene Wenger said.
‘He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year.’
Lucas Perez’s scoring record
