Arsenal fans could barely contain their excitement after Mesut Ozil scored his first professional hat-trick against Ludogorets on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old bagged his first assist of the season when he set-up Theo Walcott but he continued his rich vein of form in front of goal with three goals in the second half.
It means the German already has six goals for the season, which is a huge increase on previous years.
The former Real Madrid man looks back to his best after a slow start to the season and he put on a quite brilliant performance for the Emirates crowd against Ludogorets.
As ever, the Arsenal faithful had a reasonable reaction to Ozil’s exploits – and many took to social media to demand the German is given a statue outside the Emirates in recognition of his play.
