Goals from Helena Obeng, Princela Adubea, Felicity Asitu, Vivian Konadu and Grace Asantewaa ensured Ghana recorded a resounding victory to qualify 10-0 on aggregate after winning the first leg by the same margin.
The Black Princesses started the game on the front foot, having maintained possession very well, forcing the Algerians on the back foot, to contain the early Ghanaian pressure.
Grace Asantewaa nearly broke the deadlock for Ghana in the 10th minute but her ferocious strike from 25 yards struck the woodwork to the relief of the Algerian defence.
Eventually, Ghana Captain Princela Adubea opened the scoring in the 34th minute when she powered a ferocious header past Algeria goalkeeper.
Minutes later, Helena Obeng increased the tally in the 44th minute, calmly converting from close range to give Ghana a comfortable lead at the halfway mark.
The Black Princesses started the second half on a whirlwind, defender Felicity Asitu scoring a marvellous goal on the 52nd minute mark when she struck from the half way line to make it 3-0 for the home side.
Vivian Konadu and midfield-general, Grace Asantewaa’s beautiful goals made sure the Black Princesses wiped the floor with the Algerians to ensure an emphatic victory for Ghana, and qualification to the next round of qualifiers for the France 2018 FIFA Women’s U-20 world championship.
