There were fears Brook would struggle to return to welterweight after his middleweight fight

Kell Brook has called out his only conqueror Gennady Golovkin despite upping his focus on stepping in a ring with Errol Spence Jr.

Brook and Spence Jr will battle it out at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane ground in May 27 as he aims to keep hold of the IBF welterweight title.

Spence Jr goes into the bout with an undefeated record and Brook is desperate to exact revenge on the guy who blotted his copybook.

Brook, speaking to Sky Sports, said of a rematch with Golovkin: ‘Absolutely I would. I would love to get back in there with him.

‘I would probably like to fight the weight above welterweight and maybe two fights, and then fight him. Instead of the big step up in class and higher weight division.

‘But I would love one day to get back in there with ‘GGG’ and have another tear up with him.’

Before he can face Golovkin, Brook must impress in his home arena and the 31-year-old looks in fine shape despite fears he would struggle to go back down to welterweight.

The boxer flexed his muscles in his gym at his training camp gym in Fuerteventura while trainer Dominic Ingle kept a watching eye.

Brook is yet to fight at his beloved Sheffield United but has won all 11 of his fights in his hometown.
