Real Madrid are no longer a point of discussion for Luis Enrique, with the Barcelona coach choosing to ignore questions about his former club.
The first European Cup that was won by Barcelona was against Sampdoria 25 years ago, and they are the opponents for the Joan Gamper trophy match before the start of the new campaign.
After being asked what he remembered of that final and year, in general, Enrique did not want to reminisce on days gone by with Real Madrid.
“I don’t remember,” Enrique explained at a press conference.
“It is almost better that I don’t remember, we already know where I was on a professional level – next question.”
The current Blaugrana boss played for Los Blancos in 1992, after arriving at the Estadio Santiago Bernanbeu from Sporting Gijon during the summer of 1991.
