Despite it looking like the end of Keylor Navas‘ Real Madrid career, coach Julen Lopetegui believes he can work with the Costa Rican and new signing Thibaut Courtois.
Just like when Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez were at the club, Lopetegui believes there is enough time and space within the calendar for both keepers to coexist without a problem.
Third keeper, Lunin, has been a revelation, and confidence in the 19-year-old is already total after just three weeks at the club.
However, because there is no prospect of the board putting pressure on Navas to leave, the Ukrainian will be loaned out so he can get minutes under his belt.
Given the respective ages of the custodians, Real believe they’ve now covered the position for at least the next 15 years.
Kiko Casilla has already assumed that he will have to leave, although at the moment he is calm and waiting to see what happens.
Luca Zidane is in a similar position and knows his future is away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Moha and Belman will fight it out for the Castilla keepers jersey in the Second Division B.
