Daniel Darkwah and Kwame Bonsu, have recovered from injuries just in time to boost Kotoko for a crucial Special Competition encounter, Sunday, ekowasmahsports can exclusively report.
Kotoko dare home side, Techiman Eleven Wonders, on Match Day Three of the Normalisation Committee’s special competition, at Nkoranza.
Left-back Daniel Darkwah sustained an ankle injury during the club’s last training session before last Sunday’s Aduana Stars encounter.
Midfielder Kwame Bonsu also could not finish the first home game of the Special Competition against Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium due to injury.
Kotoko won that match 1-0.
According to a source close to the team, the two players will join the team, Saturday morning, at the Adako Jachie training complex for a final assessment before they trek to Nkoranza for the Eleven Wonders encounter.
Perhaps, it is a wonder the Eleven Wonders are yet to record a win in the two-match old competition.
Their imminent opponents, Kotoko, suffered a 1-0 defeat on Match Day Two at the hands of home side, Medeama, at the T&A Park at Tarkwa, Thursday.
Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor’s team will play the tricky match without reliable Burkinabe striker, Songnè Yacouba, winger Maxwell Baako and, defender Wahab Adams.
Also, Ivorian import, Dany Zabo, has been ruled out for six weeks while midfielder, Richard Senanu is scheduled to undergo surgery on his knee.
It remains to be seen if Kotoko can put the latest good news of the latest recoveries from injuries to good use on the road against a team searching for its first win, desperately.
Certainly, this is a trap game for Kotoko.
