Asante Kot6oko head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor expects a difficult but winnable match against Sudan’s Al Hilal in their last Group C home match of their 2018/19 CAF Confed Cup competition at the Baba Yara Stadium, tomorrow.
The group leaders pipped visiting Kotoko 1-0 in their first encounter, and seek to extend their lead, bragging – as did Zambia’s Nkana FC – they would defeat Kotoko at their fortress, the Baba Yara Stadium, where the Porcupine Warriors have exerted their might.
Kotoko defeated Zesco United 2-1 before beating up the other Zambian opposition, Nkana FC 3-0 at the same Baba Yara Stadium to lift themselves from the ground into second place in the group, one point behind Al hilal, who have amassed seven points.
As they battle qualification for the quarter final of the competition, the Porcupines’ manager put it all into perspective:
“We have two games to go and it’s important that we win them. From what we have seen from Hilal, it’s obvious that they are solid at the back.
“Hilal is a very disciplined side, and they have improved in a lot of areas since they changed their coach.
“Its a difficult task playing against such teams. But we are looking forward to get a good result.”
