Real Madrid’s first pre-season test comes against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday in Colombus, Ohio and Zinedine Zidane looks to have decided on his strike partnership.
During a 20 minute game at the end of the training session, the French coach picked compatriot Karim Benzema alongside Alvaro Morata to line-up as the front two.
Having exercised individually following hip discomfort, Benzema will be fully fit to partner the Spanish international that returned from a two-season stint with Juventus this summer.
Leading up to the European Super Cup fixture against Sevilla on August 9, Morata will be desperate to begin his second term at Los Blancos on the right foot.
The club are convinced that alongside the famed front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Benzema, the 23-year-old will gain plenty of opportunities to express himself over the 2016/17 season and pay back the decision made by club officials to bring him home.
