Asante Kotoko defender, Emmanuel Agyemang, says the players are ready to beat Sudan’s Al Hilal in their last 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup Group C home match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors have been impregnable at home, winning both matches over two Zambian opposition, Zesco United (2-1) and Nkana FC (3-0).
According to the intelligent, ball-playing defender, the team will call on their home invincibility to defeat group leaders, Al Hilal, Sunday.
He told ekowasmahsports.com after Thursday’s friendly match on their training grounds at Adako Jachie with division one side, Asokwa Deportivo, whom the Porcupines pipped by one goal to nil:
“We’re very positive for a win going into Sunday’s clash against Al Hilal and this is not complacency.
“There’s no room for complacency because victory on Sunday will help us leapfrog Hilal at the top before we play our final match with Zesco United in Zambia.”
The Reds will go into this match primed to avenge the 0-1 loss the team endured in Sudan.
