Asante Kotoko’s midfield enforcer, Richard Senanu, is scheduled to return from injury to face Al Hilal in their CAF Confed Cup Group C match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Sunday.
Senanu has been out since the Kotoko-Zesco match in Kumasi, three weeks, ago, when he sustained a knee injury.
According to a grapevine source in the team, coach C. K. Akonnor is likely to consider the workaholic midfielder in his team against Sudanese giants, Al Hilal, following his impressive performance in training.
The higly-rated midfield dynamo has been a pivot in coach C. K. Akonnor’s team performing creditably in this season’s Africa campaign, and his combination with Kwame Bonsu has solidified Kotoko’s midfield.
Inspite of losing top performers, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Maxwell Baako to injury, the Porcupines are primed to claim the scalp of Al Hilal to overtake them at the top of the group.
