New Edubiase attacker, Prince Antwi, has made a wild allegation against Wa All Stars after claiming that the latter fixed their Match-Day 4 fixture at the Wa Park.
According to the striker, both teams (Wa All Stars and New Edubiase) went into agreement to have the first match go in favour of WA All Stars.
His allegation comes after Wa All Stars recorded the double over the Bekwai-based side on Sunday to keep their title hopes alive.
“It is true, that is how the case was [to lose in Wa against All Stars and win at home]. They wants to win the league. That’s why he didn’t follow the agreement.
“Surprised us by not giving us the points,” Antwi has told Dess FM.
“Our game in Wa was a fixed match. That’s why I and several top players were benched.”
Issues of match-fixing have been under scrutiny in our local game since the beginning of the season.
Wa All Stars lead the table with 45 points after 26 match-days.
Coach Enors Adepa’s side are in pole position to win the league trophy for the first time.
The Ghana Football Association meanwhile are expected to take immediate action of the said claims by the New Edubaise player.
