The head coach of Tanzania’s Young Africans, Hans van der Pluijm has told Accra-based Asempa Sports that his team have really worked on their mistakes coming into their CAF Confederation Cup second leg against Medeama SC.
Medeama SC host the Young Africans at the Essipong Sports Stadium, this afternoon.
In the first leg, Young Africans took the lead against Medeama SC in the first league but Medeama took advantage of a defensive blunder to level up.
“We have prepared very well and we know how far this match can go but we will make sure that after full time we have really played out Meadeam SC,” Hans has told Asempa Sports.
“I know in football, everything is possible because you can win, draw and lose … but the most important thing is that we have a very fantastic spirit in the team already and over the whole season, we were champions.
“We won the FA Cup and if you are able to win the league title you have really done well but internationally, it is on another level.
“There are differences comparing individual qualities but the team work is very important. So, what I am praying and hoping for is that we get a good result that will help us win.
“… and so, we have really worked on our mistakes.”
“We have prepared very well and we know how far this match can go but we will make sure that after full time, we have really played out Meadeam SC,” Hans concluded.
