Hearts, Kotoko, Get Busy

November 3, 2014

With the start of the Ghana Premier League still in limbo, Hearts and Kotoko have been playing friendlies.

A first-half goal got Hearts victory over Medeama at the Accra Stadium on Sunday. The Phobians dominated play in the first half and scored through Kwame Kizito.

In Kumasi, the highly rated Ahmed Toure continued his good form by getting the only goal against Tanda FC of Ivory Coast, who had previously played AshGold and Hearts.

Toure had, before this game, scored four goals as the Reds had destroyed Celtic FC 14-0.

Many Ghana clubs have decided to play several friendly matches to keep themselves busy and keep them financially afloat following the delay in the start of the Premier League. The delay has been caused by legal wranglings between King Faisal and the Ghana FA.
