Ghana in warm-up vs. Nigeria

Ghana's Olympic team, Black Meteors, trained at the newly built Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo on Thursday.

Coach Malik Jabir's 18-man squad arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday ahead of Friday's international against the home-based Super Eagles.

The friendly encounter will climax the commissioning of the new home grounds of the Super Eagles and local side Akwa United FC.

The facility is a 30,000 capacity Olympic sports complex estimated to cost N16 billion ($96million).

The occasion is expected to be graced by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan who will be accompanied by his Ghanaian counterpart John Mahama, Brazilian legend Pele and other known sports personalities from across the world.
